To check for damage after a storm you’re going to watch to look in a few specific places where damage tends to happen. Of course, depending on the type of storm damage could affect your house differently, but overall, there are a few crucial points to check in on regardless of the type of storm.
1. Check Your Ceiling and Attic for Water Damage
This is crucial when you are beginning to check for damage after a storm. Take a look at your ceilings, look at the ceiling around your light fixtures and feel around it to make sure it’s not damp. If your ceiling is wet or damp at all, head up to the attic to get more a more thorough look of what’s going on.
